American sprinter Fred Kerley has been suspended for missing three out-of-competition drug tests within a 12-month period, the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) announced on Friday. Three missed tests or filing failures in a year can trigger a sanction of up to two years.
Three failures within a year to comply with the requirements, such as a missed test or inaccurate information given to the anti-doping agency, are punishable. An AIU statement said Kerley had breached those rules three times between May 11 and Dec 6, 2024.
