The documentary 'Mr. Nobody Against Putin' won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature at the 2026 Academy Awards. The film highlights the story of Pavel Talankin, a former Russian teacher who secretly filmed his students participating in pro-war propaganda supporting Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Talankin smuggled the footage out of the country and collaborated with American director David Borenstein in Denmark to create the documentary.
