A federal judge, Aileen Cannon, has permanently blocked the release of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s report on the investigation into President Donald Trump’s handling of classified documents after leaving office.
A federal judge has permanently barred the release of a report by special counsel Jack Smith on his investigation into President Donald Trump’s hoarding of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon granted requests from Mr. Trump and two of his former co-defendants in the case, Walt Nauta and Carlos de Oliveira, to issue an order prohibiting the release of the second volume of Smith's report.
