Israeli forces are destroying more than 1,000 homes daily in Lebanon, with nearly 40,000 housing units damaged in just 35 days, according to a report by Lebanon’s National Council for Scientific Research.
Israeli attacks since early March have killed 773 in Lebanon as military expands assault to more Beirut neighbourhoods.
Entire neighborhoods have been razed in 37 villages in southern Lebanon due to the intensification of Israeli bombardment and ground offensive.
Satellite photographs from the imaging company Planet Labs published by Reuters show the scale of destruction caused by Israeli strikes on the Lebanese village of Aita al-Shaab in the Bint Jbeil district of southern Lebanon over eight months.
Nearly a quarter of all buildings in 25 Lebanese municipalities near the Israeli border had been damaged or destroyed as of Saturday, according to an analysis of satellite data by The Washington Post.
