The U.S. military will enforce a blockade in the Gulf of Oman and Arabian Sea east of the Strait of Hormuz, applying to all vessel traffic regardless of flag, effective at 1400 GMT on Monday. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Sunday that it would start implementing a complete maritime blockade in the Strait of Hormuz from Monday at 10 a.m. ET. The blockade will be enforced impartially against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports on the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman. Vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz to and from non-Iranian ports will not be stopped.
