U.S. Customs has announced it will begin accepting requests to refund IEEPA tariffs on April 20, with refunds expected within 60 to 90 days if submitted properly.
Importers now have a path to reclaim tariffs they never should have paid, with the CAPE tool launching on April 20, 2026, within the ACE Secure Data Portal.
CBP has issued instructions for importers to submit refund requests for IEEPA tariffs ruled invalid by the Supreme Court, with the CAPE tool available in the ACE Portal starting April 20, 2026.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is set to launch its refund system for IEEPA tariffs on April 20 at 8 a.m. EDT, allowing importers to begin submitting entries into the system.
